Associates

Role Description

  • Performing a broad range of quantitative consulting tasks including microeconomic, econometric, and financial analysis, data gathering and synthesis
  • Performing high quality industry, market structure, and competitor-positioning studies
  • Conducting resourceful, critical synthesis of publicly available information and primary research (interviews, surveys)
  • Assisting in the production and development of client presentations, research summaries, expert reports, and the presentation of findings to project teams and clients

Experience and Expectations

  • BS/BA or MS/MA in finance, engineering, economics, public policy or a similar quantitative field from a top-tier institution
  • 3+ years of experience in a strategy/operations consulting, strategy or corporate/business development role in relevant industry, or investment banking/PE preferably in energy and infrastructure
  • Ability to meet deadlines in compressed timeframes with strict attention to detail
  • Enjoy working in small teams, engaging in respectful but challenging intellectual debate
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Comfortable with travel (typically <2 nights per week) and clients site presence, and working remotely
  • Passionate, extremely intellectually curious, high-energy, results-oriented, self-starting entrepreneur

Consultants

Role Description

  • Performing a broad range of quantitative consulting tasks including microeconomic, econometric, and financial analysis, data gathering and synthesis
  • Conducting industry, market structure, and competitor-positioning studies
  • Reviewing and summarizing analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press
  • Leading the production and development of client presentations, research summaries, expert reports, and the presentation of findings
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses
  • Managing and coaching more junior Associates

Experience and Expectations

  • MBA (or similar graduate degree) and BS/BA in finance, engineering, economics, or a similar quantitative field from a top-tier institution
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a strategy/operations consulting, strategy or corporate/business development role in relevant industry, or investment banking/PE preferably in energy and infrastructure
  • Ability to meet deadlines in compressed timeframes with strict attention to detail
  • Enjoy working in small teams, engaging in respectful but challenging intellectual debate
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Comfortable with travel (typically <2 nights per week) and clients site presence, and working remotely
  • Passionate, extremely intellectually curious, high-energy, results-oriented, self-starting entrepreneur

Managers

Managers lead various-sized teams, consisting of associates, analysts, industry experts, and client partners and ensure a successful engagement . They also develop practice area expertise and contribute to development of new business. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing issues sets as the first step in focusing hypotheses and the scope in the engagement and then transitioning issues into comprehensive team work plans
  • Highly proficient in structuring, executing, and overseeing quantitative analyses – financial, microeconomic, econometric – germane to energy and infrastructure sectors
  • Managing teams, the overall engagement, and changing conditions within compressed time frames
  • Guiding team in collection, synthesis, and analysis of data, quantitative modelling, and in conducting client and 3rd -party interviews
  • Structuring, creating, and presenting compelling written documents and presentations to present to clients
  • Building high-quality relationships with clients
  • Taking a leadership in the growth of the firm via developing intellectual capital, coaching new team members, preparing proposal and performing other marketing, and participating in recruiting
  • Supporting firm marketing and sales efforts

Experience and Expectations

  • MBA (or similar graduate degree) and BS/BA in finance, engineering, economics, or a similar quantitative field from a top-tier institution
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in a strategy/operations consulting, strategy or corporate/business development role in relevant industry, or investment banking/PE preferably in energy and infrastructure
  • Strong capabilities in market sizing, financial and operational analysis, and modelling; ability to meet deadlines in compressed timeframes with strict attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of clients (corporate, investments, regulatory, and public)
  • Enjoy working in small teams, engaging in respectful but challenging intellectual debate
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Comfortable with travel (typically <2 nights per week) and clients site presence, and working remotely
  • Passionate, extremely intellectually curious, high-energy, results-oriented, self-starting entrepreneur
  • A proven track record of leading full client/consulting teams through a complete engagement
